Thanksgiving Weekend

Snow storm before Thanksgiving

Kina and Daddy plowing snow for the 3rd time in 24 hours

We had a very busy and fun Thanksgiving weekend this year and the days off of work were well appreciated.  It snowed about 14 inches in Idaho Falls on the Monday before Thanksgiving and alot of businesses were closed for the day due to the hazardous conditions.  I of course, as well as Gabby, went to work.  I am grateful this year for a four wheeler with a plow.  This makes clearing your driveway SO mush easier.

For Thanksgiving this year we went to my parents house around 1:00PM and had a delicious dinner with my favorite Huckleberry Cheesecake as dessert.  Gabby had to go to work at 3:00 so me and my girls hung out at my parents house until about 9:00 PM.  While Mila took her nap, my Dad, Kina, and I went to feed Uncle Deans horses and Kina loved being around them!

We woke up Friday morning around 8:30 and slowly got ready and left for SLC around noon.  After we arrived Gabby and I went with her brother Rodrigo and his wife Ingrid to the SLC temple for the 5:00 session.  It was awesome to experience another temple.

First time through SLC temple
We ended up staying until Sunday afternoon and it is always great to go see Gabby's family.  Kina loves hanging out with her Uncle Leo and the girls love to see there Abuelitos.  On Friday morning I went to deliver some parts for work and then drove to Orem and picked up Andy and we went to the Golds Gym to workout together.  It was awesome to see him.  He is getting baptized just before Christmas so I am excited to go down there again and baptize him.  Later that night we took Mila and Kina down to see the lights at Temple Square, it was chilly but very pretty out.  We met up with my friend Brenden and we met his wife Ashley.  They are awesome people and we made some plans for them to come up and stay with us for New Years  this year.

We drove home on Sunday around 2:00 and had to take it slow and easy because it had snowed a few inches that morning.  We were grateful to make it home safely and back to our normal lives.  We bathed the girls and then went over to visit with Tony, Julie, Tom, and Marissa and then headed home and to bed around 10:00pm.  It was a great weekend!

Mila getting ready to be a big sister

Mila is getting so big and starting to talk alot more.  It was funny on our drive home because she was getting a little fussy and I would say "no  Mila"  she would then shake her finger and say "No No Daddy".  Apparently she did not want me talking about it.  It sure is fun being a Daddy!

Kina painting pine cones at Abuelitas

Kina is getting smarter and smarter as the days go by.  She is always asking questions and trying to learn how to spell things and how to write them.  I have a feeling she will be a very smart girl as she begins going to school.  She loves doing crafts like painting pictures and painting pinecones.
